Arrest of an Individual in Nahleh – Baalbek for Drug Trafficking

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

As part of efforts to combat drug trafficking across various Lebanese regions, and following surveillance and monitoring of the movements of gangs involved in drug distribution, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate arrested on 2/2/2026 the citizen (M.N.) in Nahleh – Baalbek for drug trafficking.

During the arrest operation, the wanted individual opened fire at the patrol, which returned fire without any injuries reported. A quantity of drugs, a handgun, and several stolen mobile phones were seized in his possession.

The seized items were handed over, and an investigation was initiated with the arrestee under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
