Arrest of Individuals for Smuggling and Seizure of Equipment and Raw Materials Used in Drug Manufacturing

The LAF Command - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

A patrol from the Intelligence Directorate arrested citizens (Kh.N.), (M.H.), (M.H.), and (Kh.Gh.) in Chebaa- Hasbaya for carrying out smuggling activities between Lebanese and Syrian territory.

Another patrol from the Directorate raided the residences of wanted individuals in the towns of Iaat and Ain Bourday – Baalbek, seizing weapons, military ammunition, equipment and raw materials used in drug manufacturing. Efforts are ongoing to arrest the wanted individuals.

The seized items were handed over, and an investigation was initiated with the arrestees under the supervision of the competent judicial authority.
