The arrest of one of the most prominent drug traffickers

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

As part of efforts to combat organized crime and pursue those who disrupt security, the Intelligence Directorate arrested (H.J.), one of the most prominent drug traffickers, after locating him abroad through coordination with the competent authorities.

He was taken into custody and transferred to Lebanon via Rafic Hariri International Airport. He is wanted for several crimes, most notably opening fire on army positions, which led to the martyrdom of soldiers, in addition to his involvement in kidnapping operations for ransom.

The investigation with the arrestee has begun under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
