Arrest of wanted individuals for the crime of shooting, smuggling, and trafficking in firearms, drug use, and promotion

The LAF Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
As part of the security measures implemented by the military institution in various regions, an army unit, supported by a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate, raided the residences of wanted individuals in the Al Zahiriya - Tripoli, and arrested the citizens: (H.M.), (H.N.), (AA.F.), and the Syrian (AA.H.), as they were wanted for the crime of shooting. A quantity of firearms, ammunition, and military equipment were seized in their possession.
The Intelligence Directorate also arrested 4 people as follows:
• Arrest of the citizen (AA.H.) in Saadnayel - Zahle, who is wanted for the crime of smuggling and trafficking in firearms, and a quantity of them and several electronic devices were seized in his possession.
• Arrest of the Syrian (W.M.) in the Dora-Metn for drug use and promotion, and a large quantity of them and a sum of money were seized in her possession.
• Raiding one of the Syrian refugee camps in Riyaq - Zahle, and arresting the Syrian (AA.R.) and his son (M.R.) for possessing weapons and ammunition.
The seized items were handed over, and an investigation was initiated with the arrestees under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
