Arrest of wanted individuals in Qab Elias, and an attempt to smuggle Syrians in the outskirts of Hermel thwarted.

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
On 26 / 09 / 2023, an army unit supported by a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate raided the residences of wanted individuals in Qab Elias – Beqaa. They arrested 6 individuals for shooting in previous dates. In addition, another army unit thwarted in Harf El Samaqa – Hermel outskirts the attempt of the smuggling of 90 Syrians to Lebanon illegally, and arrested the citizen (H.N.), the head of the operation.
The investigation was initiated with the arrestees under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
