Ceremony for the Rehabilitation of a Building in the South Litany Sector Supported by Finnish Authorities
A ceremony was held in the South Litany sector to commemorate the rehabilitation of a building, supported by Finnish authorities, attended by the Finnish Ambassador to Lebanon, Ms. Anne Meskanen, and the Commander of the South Litany Sector, representing the interim LAF Commander, Major General Hassan Audi.
Ambassador Meskanen delivered a speech praising the cooperative relations with the Lebanese Army, confirming continued support for the military institution.
On the other hand, Brigadier General Edgar Lawandos, Commander of the South Litany sector, stated: “Day by day, the relations between the Lebanese and Finnish armies are solidifying, and Finnish authorities prove to be a strong support for Lebanon and its army. We are witnessing a new contribution added to a series of assistance provided by the Finnish unit operating within the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) to enhance the capabilities of the military institution.”
During the celebration, a commemorative plaque for the building was unveiled, and Brigadier General Lawandos presented a gratitude plaque to Ambassador Meskanen.
