The Chief of Staff visits some units deployed in the northern Bekaa
The Chief of Staff, Major General P.S.C. Amin El-Erem, visited this morning the NCO institute in the Muhammad Makkah barracks, the 4th Land Border Regiment, and the 6th Infantry Brigade, where he met with unit commanders and was briefed on the situation in the region and field measures taken to maintain security, stability and border protection in their sectors. He met with officers and soldiers and provided them with the necessary directions. He also called on them to be alert to any attempt to disrupt security, stressing that the dire reality that our country is going through and the repercussions of the economic crisis will not prevent the Lebanese Army from standing firm in the face of anyone who tries to tamper with security and stability. He stressed that civil peace is a red line that no one will be allowed to cross. Major General El-Erem noted the measures taken to control the borders, which contributed to limiting smuggling operations and their economic and financial repercussions, noting that protecting the sovereignty of the state lies in preserving its borders, pointing to the need for being alert and caution for health prevention from the Corona virus.
He concluded by calling on the military to be responsible and maintain full readiness at this delicate stage that our country is going through, considering that, with their exceptional efforts and devotion to their oath, they represent the strength of the military institution, the future of the nation and its way of salvation, and that the Army Command will remain by their side in all circumstances.
