The Army Command clarifies that the information being circulated through media outlets and social media platforms regarding the Lebanese military delegation scheduled to participate in the negotiations at the Pentagon on 29/5/2026, particularly with respect to the sectarian distribution of the officers comprising the delegation, bears no relation whatsoever to the principles of the military institution.

The Command further emphasizes that the participating delegation, regardless of its composition, remains committed to the national constants and principles, and that the officers assigned to this mission represent the nation and are bound by the Army’s doctrine. Members of the military institution carry out the Command’s decisions in fulfillment of their national duty and commitment.
