Conference on border security and vital installations held in the Hilton Beirut Metropolitan Palace - Sin El Fil under the patronage of the Lebanese Army Commander in Chief General Joseph Aoun

Under the patronage of the Lebanese Army Commander in Chief General Joseph Aoun, the Research and Strategic Studies Center organized a conference on border security and vital installations, in cooperation with the SIGMA Corporation at Hilton Beirut Metropolitan Palace - Sin El Fil.
The conference was launched in the presence of a number of ministers, ambassadors, deputies, as well as security, economic, social, and educational actors.
General Aoun delivered a speech in which he stressed the importance of the steps taken on the issue of Lebanese oil wealth, stressing that the military institution is putting all its efforts, capabilities, and readiness at the disposal of this sector to reach the desired results that all Lebanese rely on.
“Against the background of the current challenges resulting from political, social, and financial complexities, it is necessary to support this goal and provide all the elements of success, especially security ones, since the army is the only and main body charged with monitoring and protecting Lebanese marine waters, " he added. "The military institution is also putting all its capabilities and efforts into ensuring the success of this project in cooperation with the relevant ministries."
The Interim Director of the Center for Research and Strategic Studies Center General P.S.C. Mansour Zgheib and the chairman of SIGMA Corporation Mr. Riyad Kahwaji, also delivered a speech in the occasion.
The conference lasts for two days, during which the means related to the protection of oil installations will be discussed.
