Extensive Security Measures across Various Regions: Arrest of a Kidnapping Suspect, Other Wanted Individuals, and Seizure of Weapons and Drugs

The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

Army units carried out extensive security operations across various Lebanese regions, including raids and temporary checkpoints as part of ongoing efforts to pursue individuals threatening public security and combat drug trafficking. As a result, eight Lebanese citizens and two Syrians were arrested, as follows:

    Raided the residences of wanted individuals in Khaldeh, Choueifat, and Aramoun – Aley, arresting the citizens (Kh.A.) and (Kh.D.) for forming a theft and armed robbery gang; the citizen (AA.Sh.) for involvement in kidnapping; and the citizen (M.Z.) for opening fire. Weapons, ammunition, and military equipment were seized from their possession.
    Raided the residence of the Syrian (H.H.) in Aramoun - Aley and arrested him for opening fire.
    Arrested the citizen (AA.M.) in Hay Al Sellom – Dahiyeh Janoubieh (Southern Suburbs) for armed robbery, theft, and drug trafficking.
    Arrested the citizens (A.F.) and (M.H.), along with Syrian national (M.W.), at Majdaloun and Hrabta checkpoints in Baalbek for opening fire and possessing quantities of Hashish and Captagon pills.
    Arrested the citizen (AA.M.) in Ras El Ain – Baalbek for possessing a military weapon.

The seized items were handed over, and investigations were initiated with the arrestees under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
