The farewell ceremony of Private Yasser Haidar Ahmad whose services were prolonged

The Army Command bid farewell to Private Yasser Haidar Ahmad whose services were prolonged who martyred yesterday in the jurds of Ras Baalbek. The ceremony began with the honoring ceremony of the martyr in front of Dar el Hekme hospital – Baalbek, where the military police and the army band offered the necessary salute and honors and he was offered the medals of War, wounded and the bronze grade military valor. Then the martyr was transferred to Masnaa at the Lebanese – Syrian borders where Brigadier General Antoine Istanbouli received him, representing the minister of defense Yaacoub Riad el Sarraf and the Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun. A number of family members, officers and soldiers also received the martyr. Brigadier General Istanbouli delivered a farewell speech in which he commended the professionalism and dedication of the martyr. His speech included the following: “the will of combat which our brave soldiers have proven in the battlefield, the pure blood offered by our martyrs and hero wounded soldiers and the popular solidarity with the army have been a bridge to achieve complete victory over terrorism.” Brigadier General Istanbouli also added that the results of this victory at the national and military levels will pave the way to a new stage entitled “Lebanon’s immunity in the face of dangers and challenges” and the army’s capability to halt everyone who allows himself to attack this nation’s security and stability.

Afterwards, the body was handed over to his family in order to be transferred to their residence in Jdeidet Yabous inside the Syrian territories.
