Funeral of martyr Pilot First Lieutenant Richard Saab, who was martyred in a military helicopter crash

The Army Command and the people of Choueifat - Aley held the funeral of the martyr First Lieutenant, Richard Saab, who was martyred on 8/23/2023 in a military helicopter crash in Hammana. The funeral began with a ceremony honoring the martyr Pilot First Lieutenant in front of the Central Military Hospital - Badaro, where a group of the Military Police and Army Band saluted him and held the necessary ceremonies, and he was decorated with medals of war, the wounded, and military appreciation of silver degree, then the body was transferred to the city of Choueifat. The commander of Mount Lebanon Region represented the Minister of National Defense, Maurice Slim, and the Lebanese Army Commander in Chief, General Joseph Aoun, at the memorial ceremony.

Brigadier General Omar Moujalled, Commander of Mount Lebanon Region, declared a speech on the occasion, in which he commended the heroism of the martyr and his devotion to military duty, and among which he stated: “The inevitable judiciary wanted our martyr to end his life flying in the skies of his homeland, which he loved since childhood, so he decided to become one of his staunch guards.” And he joined the ranks of the Army as a brilliant professional pilot, known for his discipline, morality, and distinction, as well as for his brilliant intellect and good morals.”
