The funeral procession of Corporal Martyr Ali Haidar

The army command and the residents of the town of Maaraboun – Baalbek held a funeral for Corporal Martyr Ali Haidar, who was martyred on 18/11/2025 as a result of clashes with wanted individuals during a series of raids carried out by the Directorate of Intelligence, supported by an army unit, in the Sharawneh area – Baalbek.
The funeral procession began with honors performed by a group of Military Police and the Army Band. The martyr was posthumously awarded the War Medal, the Wounded Medal, and the Bronze Military Commendation.
In the town of Maaraboun, a memorial ceremony was held in the presence of the representative of the Minister of National Defense, Major General Michel Menassa, and the Army Commander-in-Chief, General Rodolph Haykal. In his speech, he affirmed that the martyr’s heroism stems from his upright patriotic upbringing, stressing that the military institution will continue its diligent work to maintain security across all Lebanese regions.
