Hostile artillery bombardment towards Lebanese territory

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On 6/8/2021, at approximately 11:30, the Israeli enemy forces fired artillery shells towards Lebanese territory, ten of which fell in the outskirts of the town of Al-Sidana and thirty shells in the outskirts of the towns of Bastra and Kfarshouba, which led to the outbreak of a number of fires. This was preceded by the launching of rockets from Lebanese territory towards the occupied Shebaa Farms.

An army unit in Shwayya arrested 4 people who fired the rockets, and seized the launcher used in the operation.

The army units deployed on the ground, in coordination with the UNIFIL are taking the necessary security measures to restore calm to the area.
