Inauguration of Three Buildings at the Jounieh Naval Base with Support from German Authorities

A ceremony was held at the Jounieh Naval Base to inaugurate three new buildings, established with the support of the German authorities. The inauguration was attended by the German Ambassador to Lebanon, Kurt Stoeckl-Stillfried, the Deputy Chief of Staff for Equipment, representing the Lebanese Army Commander-in-Chief, General Rodolph Haykal, along with several officers and military attachés.

During the ceremony, Brigadier General Amin Al Kaii, Deputy Chief of Staff for Equipment, delivered a speech in which he stated: “We attach great importance to developing our navy bases through modern facilities that contribute to enhancing the professionalism of our personnel, while providing additional capabilities for maintaining equipment readiness and ensuring its effective use.”

He also expressed his deep gratitude to the German authorities, represented by Ambassador Stillfried, for this initiative, expressing hope for continued cooperation in the future.

Ambassador Stillfried emphasized the importance of the Lebanese Navy’s role, reaffirming his country’s commitment to continue supporting the Lebanese Army in various fields.

Furthermore, Brigadier General, Navy Commander Mustafa Al Ali stated that the project represents an important milestone in the ongoing development of the navy forces and in strengthening their ability to protect Lebanon’s territorial waters.
