Kidnapping and Robbery Gang Arrested by the Army; Weapons and Stolen Vehicles Seized

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
Army units carried out security operations in various areas, including raids and temporary checkpoints, as part of ongoing efforts to pursue individuals disrupting public security. As a result, they arrested six citizens and three Syrians, as follows:
- Raid of the residences of wanted individuals in the towns of Maqneh, Brital, and Iaat – Baalbeck, resulting in the arrest of four citizens and three Syrians for attempting to carry out a robbery, and the seizure of a quantity of weapons, ammunition, and several stolen cars and motorcycles.
- Arrest of citizen (AA.Z.) in Hadath – Baabda for committing several crimes, including forming an armed theft and robbery gang, carrying out kidnappings, shootings, instigating disturbances, and money extortion.
- Raid of the residences of wanted individuals in the Doha Aramoun and Khaldeh – Aley areas, resulting in the seizure of a quantity of weapons, ammunition, and military equipment.
- Arrest of Lebanese citizen (K.M.) for shooting during a dispute, seizing a quantity of weapons, ammunition, and military equipment.
The seized items were handed over and the investigation was initiated with the detainees under the supervision of the competent authorities.
