LAF Commander attends a drill performed by 3rd year Military Academy Cadets in Akoura
In the presence of LAF Commander General Joseph Aoun, senior commanding officers, and commanders of major LAF units and independent regiments, 3rd year Military Academy Cadets performed a live fire exercise in the barren hills of Akoura. The exercise simulated attacking and destroying a terrorist group entrenched in the highlands of the area with the participation of the Air Force. The exercise included shooting with medium and light weapons in addition to support weapons as well as shooting on board Gazelle helicopters and Super Tucano aircrafts.
General Aoun praised the performance of the Cadets at the end of the exercise and commended their efforts and professionalism in performing the exercise.
He stressed the fact that success is the product of diligent work where everyone gives his best, armed with a strong will and determination, to overcome challenges particularly during the difficult stages and harsh conditions that necessitate the highest levels of awareness and endurance from our part.
General Aoun added that the Military Academy is the solid foundation that holds the Military Institution together. He called upon the cadets to continue their educational journey and to develop their military knowledge in a way that enables them to lead major military units later on.
