The LAF commander received the European Union ambassador to Lebanon and launched a project to support the LAF
The Lebanese Armed Forces Commander, General Rodolph Haykal, received the European Union ambassador to Lebanon, Ms. Sandra De Waele, in his office in Yarzeh. A new project was launched to support the LAF as part of efforts to enhance security and assist the residents of southern Lebanon. This project will be implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
The launch ceremony was attended by the LAF Commander, the EU Ambassador, the UNDP Resident Representative in Lebanon, Ms. Blerta Aliko, representatives from the United Nations Special Coordinator's Office for Lebanon (UNSCOL), and several senior officers.
General Haykal emphasized the project's importance for the military institution, noting that it would have a positive impact on Lebanon's security and stability.
