The Lebanese Army Commander in Chief General Joseph Aoun visits Italy

The Lebanese Army Commander in Chief General Joseph Aoun visited Italy following the invitation of his Italian counterpart. He met the Italian Minister of Defense Lorenzo GUERINI. The latter affirmed his country's determination to support the Lebanese Army with all available capabilities, in the presence of the Italian Chief of Defense Staff, Admiral Giuseppe CAVO DRAGONE, who praised the performance of the military institution during this critical stage in Lebanon's history.

He also met the National Armaments Director in the Italian Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant General Luciano PORTOLANO, who insisted on the need to help the Lebanese Army.

On the other hand, General Aoun thanked the Italian Republic, Minister GUERINI, Admiral CAVO DRAGONE and Lieutenant General PORTOLANO, pointing out the importance of supporting the military institution, especially with the basic needs related to fuel and healthcare, in the difficult economic conditions of the country.
