Lebanese Army Commander in Chief General Joseph Aoun visits the Logistics Brigade.
The Lebanese Army Commander in Chief General Joseph Aoun visited the Logistics Brigade in Kfarshima, which recently received 60 buses that will be put at the disposal of the Transport Regiment to implement the joint transport plan for the military.
General Aoun toured the divisions of the brigade, especially the maintenance center for surveillance equipment of the land border regiments and the navy (DTRA), the dispensary and the newly established factory of cleaning and sterilization materials.
He addressed the officers and soldiers by saying: "Logistics is the beating heart of any army, and no soldier can carry out the tasks entrusted to him without logistical support. What you are doing under these delicate circumstances is well-attested, as you have demonstrated exceptional capabilities, thus renewing your loyalty to the military institution and the homeland. Don't lose confidence in your country, which is in dire need of you right now. You have no options: either the military institution or chaos."
General Aoun pointed out that war is that of wills, stressing the need for patience to pass this stage. He also stressed that the Lebanese people still cling to the military institution because it is their guarantee, and said: "We are following up on your conditions and circumstances. We are aware of your suffering and your needs, and we are working to provide you with assistance as much as possible and by all means. It is a delicate stage and we must persevere to overcome it. We must hold on to hope and faith and have solid will throughout this crisis. Every crisis has an end. I have full confidence in you and your steadfastness because you know that the military institution is your first and last reference and it will never leave you. I am not exaggerating if I say that any other army, if it faced a similar crisis, would not have been able to withstand, but our army is still holding up, thanks to your will."
He pointed out that the Army Command has drawn up plans to help support the steadfastness of the military, including the development of healthcare, which provides medical services to about 10% of the Lebanese population, in addition to enhancing the joint transportation of the military by purchasing 60 buses as a first stage, which the military institution purchased through the USAID program, pending the delivery of other buses soon as donations from countries friends of Lebanon. All this will ease the burden of transportation for the military to and from their service posts.”
He concluded by saying: I am proud of you, sons of honor, sacrifice and loyalty, and I bow before your steadfastness, sacrifices, and achievements.
