A Lebanese woman arrested in a raid searching for a wanted individual in Hay Al Seloum - Dahiye Janoubiyah

The Lebanese Army Command - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
On 16/02/2024, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate, supported by an army unit, carried out a raid in Hay Al Seloum - Dahiye Janoubiyah. They arrested the Lebanese woman (S.Z.) for harboring the Lebanese individual (Y.Z.), a prominent wanted individual due to his affiliation with a gang involved in a robbery by force of arms and his participation in a shooting incident during the execution of a theft operation that resulted in the death of a citizen on 15/02/2024. A large quantity of hashish, marijuana, cocaine, and crack cocaine was found in the woman’s residence. During the investigation, she admitted to her involvement with others in drug abuse and trafficking.
The confiscated items were handed over, and an investigation was initiated with the arrestees under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities. Follow-ups are underway to arrest the rest of the gang members.
