Memorandum of cooperation signed between the Lebanese Army and AUT

The Army Command in Yarzeh hosted this morning the signature of a memorandum of cooperation between the Lebanese Army and the American University of Technology. The memorandum included a protocol of academic cooperation and providing facilitations to troops in active duty and retirement, the civil employees in order "A" and their families, as well as the family members of martyr troops, the persons with disabilities and the deceased persons "who were in service", in addition to exchanging experiences and information in the educational fields.
The Lebanese Army Commander in Chief General Joseph Aoun signed the memorandum on behalf of the Lebanese Army while the president of AUT Mrs. Ghada Hanin signed on behalf of the University in the presence of Army officiers and a delegation of the University administration.
Mrs. Hanin thanked the army for the productive cooperation that brings the two sides together, and stressed the great confidence in the military institution and its performance in order to protect Lebanon.
For his part, General Aoun thanked the university administration for this initiative, stressing the importance of following up on educational attainment, which constitutes the basis for completing the career path of both the civilian and the military, adding that education is a strength factor for the army and its soldiers, enabling them to take the right decisions.
