Obituary of Retired Brigadier General Adib Bou Ghanem

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation mourns the passing of retired Brigadier General Adib Bou Ghanem, who passed away on 9 January 2026. Below is a brief overview of his life:
•    Born on 1 January 1938 in Ramlieh – Aley.
•    Volunteered in the Army on 1 January 1959 and was promoted to the rank of Second Lieutenant on 15 September 1961. He subsequently advanced through the ranks until attaining the rank of Brigadier General effective 1 July 1986.
•    Received several medals, as well as commendations and congratulations from the Commander of the Army on multiple occasions.
•    Completed several training courses both domestically and abroad.
•    Married and father of two children.
