OBITUARY FOR SIX MARTYRS
The LAF Command – Directorate of Orientation mourns Chief Warrant Officer Martyr Abbas Fawzi Salhab, and the recruits Martyr Ahmad Fadi Fadel, Martyr Ibrahim Khalil Mustafa, Martyr Hadi Nasser AL Bay, Martyr Mohammad Ali Choukair, and Martyr Yamen Al Hallak, who were martyred on August 9, 2025, as a result of an explosion during the inspection of a weapons and ammunition depot in Wadi Zabqin – Tyre. Below is a brief overview of the lives of the fallen soldiers:
Chief Warrant Officer Martyr Abbas Fawzi Salhab
• Born on February 15, 1982, in Younin – Baalbek, Bekaa.
• Enlisted in the LAF as a trainee soldier on March 16, 2006.
• Awarded several medals, and received multiple commendations and congratulations from the LAF Commander.
• Married, with one child.
Recruit (Extended Service) Martyr Ahmad Fadi Fadel
• Born on June 23, 2003, in Ghobeiry – Baabda.
• Enlisted in the LAF as a recruit on January 2, 2023.
• Received commendations and multiple congratulations from the LAF Commander.
• Single.
Recruit (Extended Service) Martyr Ibrahim Khalil Mustafa
• Born on August 10, 2003, in Majdaloun – Baalbek.
• Enlisted in the LAF as a recruit on July 3, 2023.
