Fellow Troops,

On the occasion of the 80th Independence Day, we evoke the meanings of sacrifice and freedom, and we recall significant milestones that recount a nation’s story engraved in the depths of history, and our ancestors’ fight for a Lebanon that embraces their dreams and secures the future of their children, sparing no effort to achieve their hopes and aspirations.

Fellow Troops,

Our homeland has been destined to endure many challenges throughout its modern history, in a region plagued by persistent disturbances, conflicts, and bloodshed. Today, we are confronted with an immensely dangerous situation, as the Israeli enemy persists in perpetrating horrific and increasingly bloody massacres against the Palestinian people, and violates the sovereignty of our homeland and targets our communities in the southern border villages and towns, using internationally prohibited munitions, along with the continued occupation of Lebanese territories. At the same time, Lebanon is currently confronting substantial challenges on various levels, which are having a detrimental impact on its state institutions, including the military institution which is at a critical and sensitive stage amidst political tensions. However, it is crucial to prioritize the national interest by safeguarding its integrity, ensuring its continuity and cohesion, and preserving the morale of its personnel.

Fellow Troops,

Given these challenges, the hopes rest upon you, and all eyes are focused on the accomplishments you have achieved. You did not succumb to despair, as you remain fortified with unwavering high spirits, unbreakable will, and resolute determination. You stand firm in the face of the Israeli enemy in the south, working in coordination with the UNIFIL, and exerting your utmost efforts to prevent the situation from deteriorating and the potential repercussions on the residents of border regions. You are also deployed along the border, combating smuggling and illegal infiltration of displaced individuals, which poses an existential threat to the Lebanese entity, undertaking complex missions to pursue terrorist cells and organized crime, arresting drug traffickers and perpetrators of insecurity. You uphold stability, civil peace, and coexistence, undeterred by campaigns of skepticism and accusations, as they are baseless and crumble in the face of your sacrifices.  It is essential to remember our noble martyrs and our brave wounded, who have enriched the soil of the nation with their sacred blood.

Fellow Troops,

Your determination and sacrifices are vital to the Lebanese people’s strength. Persevere in fulfilling your duties and preserve the preparedness of the military institution to confront the challenges and developments in this difficult phase, including the threats that endanger Lebanon; the Israeli enemy in specific. Hold firmly to the sanctity of your mission, for therein lies the salvation of our country.  We will remain the shield and fortress of our nation, defending our people and repelling the harm of our enemies, so that our flag remains a beacon of our vibrant heritage.
