Raids and Arrests of 10 Individuals and a Large Quantity of Drugs Seized

The Army Command– Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

As part of the security measures carried out by the military institution to pursue individuals disrupting security and to combat drug trafficking across various Lebanese regions, an army unit raided the residences of wanted individuals in El Qobbeh – Tripoli, arresting seven Lebanese citizens and one Syrian for forming an armed gang involved in drug distribution. A large quantity of drugs and military ammunition was seized in their possession.

Another army unit also raided the residence of a citizen (Z.B.) in Bhannine – Minieh Danniyeh, arrested him, and confiscated a quantity of weapons and military ammunition, in addition to military equipment.

Additionally, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate arrested a citizen (S.A.) in Qornayel – Metn for shooting a woman on 18/2/2026, which led to her death.

The seized items were handed over, and investigations with the arrestees were initiated under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
