The release of two kidnapped Iraqis in the Al Qaa Projects following a series of surveillance, raids, and security follow-ups

The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

As a result of a series of surveillance, raids, and security follow-ups aimed at freeing the two kidnapped Iraqis (AA.J.) and (A.CH.), the Intelligence Directorate succeeded in rescuing them in the Al Qaa Projects near the Lebanese-Syrian border. The two kidnapped individuals had been lured on 01/09/2025 from Rafic Hariri International Airport and transferred to Syrian territory, while the kidnappers demanded a ransom for their release. The Directorate arrested two Syrians, (A.H.) and (M.KH.), for their involvement in the kidnapping.

The investigation was initiated with the arrestees under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities, and efforts continue to arrest the other suspects involved.
