Residences raided and wanted individuals arrested in Al-Sharawneh

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On 31/01/2022, an army unit carried out raids of residences of wanted people in Al-Sharawneh – Baalbek on account of a clash that occurred between members of the Saab and Jaafar families for personal reasons. During the clash, firearms and RPGs were used, which led to the injury of the wanted (M.S.) and (R.J.) and the citizens (F.J.) and (A.J.).

During the raid, the unit arrested the citizen (A.M.J.), wanted for the Btidaay incident, which had caused the deaths of two citizens of the Fakhri family. A quantity of narcotics and a number of firearms and their ammunition, and a number of surveillance cameras and military equipment were seized.

The seized items were handed to the valid judiciary authorities, and the investigation has been initiated.
