Sad demise of retired Brigadier General Hamid Iskandar

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation declares the sad demise of retired Brigadier General Hamid Iskandar who passed away on 25/5/2020.

The following information present a brief summary of his life and military career:

• Born on 1/7/1958 in Shlifa – Baalbek
• Enlisted in the Army on 4/9/1980 and rose through the ranks and reached the rank of Brigadier General starting 1/1/2010.
• Received several medals and decorations as well as commendations and congratulations of the LAF Commander
• Followed several educational and training courses in Lebanon and abroad
• Married with 4 children

The body of the deceased will be transported on 26/5/2020 from Heart of Jesus Hospital to the church of Saydet el-Zourouh in Shlifa – the Bekaa where the funeral will take place on the same day at 14.00 in the mentioned church.
