Sad demise of Retired Brigadier General Tony Najjar

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation declares the sad demise of retired Brigadier General Tony Najjar who passed away on 23/03/2021.

The following information presents a brief summary of his life and military career:

• Born on 18/09/1956 in Zahle.
• Enlisted in the Army on 22/09/1980 and rose through the ranks, starting as a lieutenant on 01/11/1983 and reached the rank of Brigadier General as of 15/03/2012.
• Received several medals and decorations as well as commendations and congratulations of the LAF Commander in chief several times.
• Followed several educational and training courses in Lebanon and abroad.
• Married with 1 child.

The body of the deceased will be transported from the Elias Al Hrawi Hospital – Zahle on 24/03/2021 at 14:00 to Mar Antonios al Kabir Church where the funeral will be held on the same day at 15.00 and the burial will take place at al Maalfa Cemetery – Zahle.
