Seizure of drug-manufacturing facilities in Iaat and Al Sharawneh, and the arrest of seven individuals for committing various crimes in Mina Al Hosn - Beirut, and Baalbek

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

A Lebanese Army unit raided a house in Iaat – Baalbek that was being used for the manufacture and trafficking of drugs. The unit seized a quantity of drugs, as well as raw materials, equipment, and machinery used in drug manufacturing. The unit also arrested citizen (M.Q.) in the vicinity of the house, who was wanted for opening fire.

Another unit raided the homes of wanted individuals in Al Sharawneh – Baalbek. It arrested citizen (M.J.) for opening fire, as well as Syrians (H.H.) and (M.H.) for moving around Lebanese territory without legal documentation. A firearm and equipment used for drug manufacturing were seized.

Another unit arrested citizen (AA.J.) in Mina Al Hosn – Beirut for drug trafficking.

In addition, an Army unit at Nabaa Al Morj checkpoint – Baalbek, arrested citizens (B.K.) and (Y.F.) for possessing firearms.

The seized items were handed over, and investigations with the Arrestees were initiated under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
