A soldier moderately injured by shooting from the Syrian side targeting a Lebanese Army post

The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On 6/3/2026, one soldier sustained a moderate injury as a result of shooting coming from the Syrian side targeting a Lebanese Army post in Al Qasr – Hermel area. Personnel at the post returned fire toward the sources of the shooting.

Follow-up is ongoing to determine the circumstances of the incident in coordination with the relevant Syrian authorities.
