A Syrian affiliated with the terrorist Fatah al-Sham organization arrested in Majdal Anjar
The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
On 11/9/2021, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate arrested in Majdal Anjar - Western Bekaa, the Syrian (F.KH.), nicknamed Abu Inad, for taking command of an armed group affiliated with the terrorist organization Fatah al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra). He participated in the kidnapping of the nuns of Maaloula, their detention and then their release in exchange for a number of the organization’s militants. He also participated with his group in several battles in the outskirts of Qalamoun and in the Battle of Arsal on 2/8/2014.
Inside his residence, religious books belonging to the organization, binoculars, 4 cell phones, 3 cameras and an oil-colored military uniform were seized.
The investigation began with the arrestee under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
