Thwarting a fuel smuggling operation across the Lebanese-Syrian border and the arrest of an individual in Jabal Mohsen – Tripoli

The LAF Command - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
On April 30, 2025, as part of the effort to combat smuggling across the Lebanese-Syrian border, an army unit thwarted a smuggling operation involving 10 tankers loaded with fuel in Naamat – Macharii Al Qaa, and arrested several individuals involved in the smuggling operation.
Additionally, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate in Jabal Mohsen - Tripoli arrested a citizen (KH.H.) for fatally stabbing a citizen on April 20, 2025, following a dispute that occurred between them in the mentioned area.
The seized items were handed over, and an investigation with the arrestees has begun under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities, with efforts ongoing to apprehend the other individuals involved in the smuggling operation.
