VISITORS OF GENERAL AOUN

The Lebanese Army Commander in Chief General Joseph Aoun received in his office in Yarzeh the Minister of Agriculture in the caretaker government Abbas Al-Haj Hassan and they discussed the general situation in the country. He also received the French Senator Hélène Conway Mouret in the presence of the French Ambassador to Lebanon, Mrs. Anne Grillo, at the head of an accompanying delegation, and they confirmed their continuous support to the army in light of the current difficult circumstances, and recognized its role in maintaining the security and stability of Lebanon. He also received the Former MP Stephan Douaihi at the head of a delegation from the Makhoul family, who thanked the Army Commander in Chief for freeing their son from kidnapping. He also received the Mufti of Baalbek-Hermel Sheikh Bakr Al-Rifai, and they discussed various matters.
