Visitors of the Lebanese Army Commander-in-Chief

The Lebanese Army Commander-in-Chief, General Rodolph Haykal, received in his office at Yarzeh the Commander of the Irish Defence Forces, Major General Rossa Mulcahy, heading a delegation. The discussion addressed the general situation in Lebanon and the region amid current developments, as well as ways to strengthen cooperation between the armies of the two countries, in addition to the role of the Irish battalion operating within the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).

General Mulcahy also laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the courtyard of the Ministry of National Defense, in the presence of the Army Commander and several senior officers.
