Visitors of the Lebanese Army Commander-in-Chief
The Army Commander-in-Chief, General Rodolph Haykal, received in his office in Yarzeh the Assistant Ambassador of Germany to Lebanon, Yasmin Raya, accompanied by the German military attaché, Lieutenant Colonel Kai Zimmermann. During the meeting, a cooperation agreement was signed as part of the Army Support Program.
General Haykal expressed his gratitude to the German authorities for their continuous support of the army amid the ongoing challenges.
The Army Commander-in-Chief also received the Spanish military attaché in Lebanon, Colonel Ángel Santamaría Sánchez, on a farewell visit marking the end of his mission in Lebanon. During the meeting, he introduced his successor, Colonel Jose Antonio Latorre Remon. General Haykal praised the role of the Spanish unit serving within the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).
