Two Syrian women were freed after they were kidnapped in Bourj Hammoud

The Army Command - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On 13/09/2023, a gang composed of Lebanese and Syrian individuals kidnapped a Syrian woman (A.M.) and her daughter (D.A.) in Bourj Hammoud. The kidnappers demanded a ransom for their release. In response, the Intelligence Directorate and a unit from the Lebanese Army carried out a series of raids on several houses belonging to members of the gang in the towns of Tal El Abiad and Riha in Baalbek, concurrently with a security operation by the Directorate of Intelligence. As a result, the kidnapped individuals were successfully freed on September 21, 2023.
