عهد جديد وعام آخر

عهد جديد وعام آخر، وهمم تتوثّب للإنطلاق في ورشة العمل الوطني. والجيش، هذه المؤسسة التي تحرص على تاريخها، وتوثّق أعمالها، وتولي ماضيها الأهتمام والحرص، تتطلع دومًا إلى غدها، وتبرمج نشاطاتها المقبلة، وتنبّه إلى ضرورة تنفيذ كل عمل في حينه وفي توقيته، وفي يقين قيادتها أنّ ما نحن بصدد التحضير له والسعي للقيام به، سوف ينضمّ لاحقًا إلى تراث المؤسسة ومكتسبات الوطن.

تتعرّض البلاد لأزمات، خصوصًا إذا ما طفح كيل التنافس السياسي في الداخل، كما مرّ في سنواتنا الأخيرة، وأيضًا إذا ما زاد الصّراع الخارجي، كما جرى ويجري حتى الآن في المنطقة العربية التي ننتمي إليها، والتي يشكّل لبنان بوابتها الغربية على البحر المتوسّط، فينبري الجيش لمتابعة واجباته، والسّهر على المؤسسات والمواطن كالمعتاد، ويحرص على إبقاء مداميك الهيكل عامرة، وأعمدته مرتفعة صامدة، إلى حين عودة الدولة إلى حياتها الطبيعية. هنا لا مكان للإنطلاق من الصّفر، الوطن لا يعود إلى الصّفر في ظل الجيش والمواطنين، ففي كل مرّة بإمكاننا أن نضيف، وأن نراكم الإنجازات فوق الإنجازات.

جيشنا الذي تمرّس على مواجهة المصاعب والتحديات، وأثبت أمام الداخل والخارج، جدارته القتالية المميزة في مواجهة العدو الاسرائيلي والإرهاب الذي تحسب له أعظم جيوش العالم ألف حساب، هذا الجيش يتطلع إلى العام الجديد بعين الأمل بأن يتمّ تزويده بمزيد من السلاح النوعي الذي يليق بكفاءة ضباطه وجنوده واستعدادهم اللا محدود للتضحية في سبيل الوطن، ولا شكّ في أنّ بوادر هذا الأمل بدأت تظهر في مواقف فخامة رئيس البلاد، وأركان الدولة مجتمعة، انطلاقًا من أنّ الجيش هو العامود الفقري للبنان، وهو الضمانة الأكيدة للإستقرار الأمني، وبالتالي للسير قدمًا على طريق النهوض والازدهار.

A new reign and a new year

A new reign and a new year begin and with it an eagerness to take off in the process of working on the national level. And the Army, this institution which is keen on preserving its history, documenting its work and giving a special interest to its past is always looking forward to its future and schedules its coming activities while pointing out to the need to execute each task at its time, taking into consideration that the Army Command is well aware that what we are preparing and what we are attempting to plan will surely be added to the heritage of the institution and the countries riches.

The country is facing crises especially with the aggravated political gravitations inside the country as we have witnessed during the last years and in light of external conflicts that are ravaging the Arab region to which we belong and forms its western gate to the Mediterranean. The Army took upon itself the task of pursuing the execution of its missions and preserving the institutions and the citizens while keeping the temple’s bonds solid and its pillars standing high and tenacious until the State regained its normal role. This means that we shall never be coerced to go back to the starting point and the country cannot go back to the starting point thanks to the Army and the compatriots and this enables us to keep on achieving and adding further feats.

Our Army which has grown to be experienced in confronting the difficulties and challenges and has proven inside Lebanon and on the international scene the distinguished combat capabilities of the Lebanese troops during the confrontations with the enemies and especially while facing terrorism which has worried the most robust of armies. This Army is looking forward to the New Year filled with hope that its units will be further empowered with qualitative weapons that befits the competence of its officers and troops as well as their unlimited readiness to give all the sacrifices for the sake of the country. There is no doubt that glimpse of this hope have started to appear with the stances taken by His Excellency the President of the Republic and all the state officials based on the notion that the Army is the backbone of Lebanon and the unquestionable guarantee of stability and thus the country may be able to march forward in the path of reconstruction and prosperity.
